The kitchen is where most of life actually happens — homework, holidays, late-night conversations, Sunday meal prep. C & H Construction and Remodeling designs and builds kitchens that match how your household really uses the space, not how a showroom thinks you should. Whether you're refreshing finishes, opening up a wall, or starting from a bare slab, we handle the design, cabinetry, finishes, permits, and construction from one team.

A well-built kitchen remodel does three things at once. It fixes the function — better flow, better storage, better light, appliances that fit how you actually cook. It changes how your home feels day to day, because this is the room you live in most. And it protects your investment in the house itself, since kitchens consistently rank among the renovations that hold their value at resale. Even smaller kitchens can be transformed dramatically when the layout is rethought rather than just refinished. Most of the difference between a kitchen that works and one that doesn't comes down to design decisions made before a single cabinet is ordered.
We walk your kitchen with you, talk about how you cook and gather, and discuss budget realistically before any drawings start.
You work with our designer on layout, cabinetry style, countertops, backsplash, flooring, lighting, and appliances. Everything gets specified before construction begins, which is what keeps surprises out of your invoice later
We pull the permits, order long-lead items like cabinets and stone, and lock in your start date once materials are confirmed.
Demo, framing if needed, rough plumbing and electrical, drywall, finish carpentry, cabinets, countertops, tile, and final fixtures. You get a project manager and regular updates so you always know what's happening this week and next.
We walk the finished kitchen together, build a punch list of anything that needs touch-up, and close it out before we hand over the keys

Kitchen pricing varies more than almost any other room. The biggest factors fall into three scope tiers:
Refresh: Keep the existing layout. Update cabinets (or reface), replace countertops, new backsplash, paint, lighting, hardware.
Mid-Range: Some wall or layout changes, new cabinetry, mid-grade stone, upgraded appliances, possibly relocating plumbing or electrical.
Full Custom: Gut renovation, structural changes, custom cabinetry, premium stone and tile, high-end appliances, integrated lighting and millwork.
We'll help you figure out which tier fits your goals and your budget before design starts.
Most families do. We help you set up a temporary kitchen — usually in a dining room or basement — with the fridge, microwave, and coffee station accessible. Plan on 6 to 10 weeks without the main kitchen depending on scope.
No. Layout changes are often where the biggest improvements come from. Moving a wall, relocating the sink, or changing how the island sits can transform a kitchen far more than swapping finishes.
A refresh can run 4 to 6 weeks. A mid-range remodel typically runs 8 to 12 weeks. A full custom build with structural changes can run 12 to 20 weeks. Design and material lead times are separate from active construction.
